A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.
You may recall during the early part of March, 2023 the news that a beginning Michigan pilot Taylor Hash, just 21 yrs old at the time, landed a plane with a missing wheel in a dramatic emergency landing caught on video. On Taylor’s third-ever solo flight, she lost the aircraft’s front nose gear tire as she cleared the runway and ascended into the air. The missing landing gear was apparently observed by a veteran pilot preparing for take off. He immediately alerted the control tower air control where an experienced pilot, radioed, 21 yr. old Taylor, assuring her that things were going to be just fine.
I’m certain the veteran Pilot (Mr. Yates) or air traffic control never anticipated that day’s event. Talking and walking someone who had only flown solo 3 times, to safety…Who but God Almighty..
So, whatever God has for you today, whether it’s teaching children, or running errands, He has placed you exactly where He wants you to be. You are “in the right place at the right time” to make a difference for Him through your words and actions. You never know how or when He will use you to encourage or help those around you.
We can and should make plans, but it is essential to remain mindful that the LORD directs how they will go. (Proverbs 19:21, Psalm 37:23). Always be ready and open to being used by God.
