365 Days of New Opportunities

Congratulations! If you’re reading this post You’ve made it. You are part of  another year! 2026.  I always say, if you have a Pulse, you have a Purpose in life!

Welcome to 2026 with its 365 DAYS of Endless Possibilities.  In some ways the passing of one day into another is an ordinary, occurrence.  The reality of it all is that it happens every 24 hours, doesn’t it?  But when that ordinary occurrence happens between December 31 and January 1, it somehow  seems to slow down just enough to give us time to think.

For me, I love Journaling throughout the year.  I journal prayers, events, and highs and lows in my life.  My favorite thing to do is return to Day one of  my journal and work my way through December 31.  I praise God for answered prayers and talk to Him about the unanswered prayers, as I list them on my New Years Journal.  During that time I generally like to do a fast asking God to search my Heart and I invite Him to give me a Word for the New Year!  God has always been so faithful. With each word He gives me, I do a Word study that I might walk in those Truths.

This year I choose to see this New Year, as New Opportunities.  Yes, 365 DAYS OF New Opportunities..  The Bible tells us that God sends new mercies for us every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Those mercies include fresh prospects for worship and service.  “The faithful love of the LORD never ends!  His mercies never cease.”  Each morning when we wake up, God’s mercy greets us.  No other faith has a fresh outpouring of grace each day.  The dawning of a New Year presents us with opportunities to rearrange our lives , set new goals, and adopt new disciplines.  I’m talking about something more than the typical New Year’s resolutions.  I’m talking about deepening our walk with God and our personal spiritual well-being by learning the power of day-to-day living, here on Planet Earth.

I once heard it put this way…, “ If we want to do something with our life, then we must focus on today…  That’s where tomorrow’s success is determined by our daily  agenda.  How true that is.  You will never change your life until you change something you do daily.

The Bible stresses the importance of living a well-ordered life, one day at a time.

After all it was Jesus who said, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me” (Luke 9:23, emphasis added).    Yes, Everyday is indeed a new opportunity, and there are some things we should do 365 times this year.
