You Are Valued

 ” How Precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered.  I can’t even count them; they out number the grains of sand.”                                    Psalm 139:17-18

Understanding that God is all-knowing is what caused David to reflect on God’s intimate understanding.

The thoughts that God has toward us cannot be numbered.  God Loves His children and because He does, tells us we are Loved, Valued and Treasured.  The very fact that God thinks about us so much was too much for David to comprehend and should encourage us today.  (V17-18), says God’s thoughts are precious.  Precious means valuable, His thoughts toward us are unique, tailor-made, and that makes them valuable.   His thoughts about us cannot be numbered or counted. Why?  Because they outnumber the grains of sand! So much so, that when we awake , His thoughts are still with us! Can you imagine, the very One who Created you and me ; Loves us so much that His thoughts continue on throughout the day and night.

Who else do you know in your life that Loves and Values you that much?  Well, Be Encouraged… God does.  It is inconceivable to the human mind that our Creator would think so often and deeply about each of His children, but it is so true.  We are constantly on His mind.  God cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).    God created and controls the universe, but He condescends to think about us.  We may fall ill or face a job loss, family difficulties, a financial crisis, or fill in the blank, no matter what it is, remember God’s thoughts are never ending and are upon us to carry us through those distressing situations.  God’s thoughts about you are more than mere “thoughts.” They include His Purpose and His Care.

Take a moment to allow your eyes to look back up at the picture of sand and leave encouraged…. That’s how much you are thought about!
